About us
Karavanta builds a trip from the services of local providers: guides, pilots, instructors, camps and transfers. You describe the trip in your own words, AI drafts a day-by-day plan, and a coordinator confirms dates and prices with each provider.
Why we do this
A big expedition is never the work of one company. It is a jeep and a driver who knows the road, a helicopter, a camp, the vehicles, a guide. Finding each of them, checking them and lining up the dates is a job of its own, and it usually falls on the traveller.
Karavanta grew out of a personal dream: to put together a long expedition, several weeks on the road, and get everything in one place, with a clear list of services, providers and prices. We are building the service we want to use ourselves.
Who is behind it
I was born in Almaty and at 13 started working as a snowboard instructor at Shymbulak, later spending many years as a certified instructor at the resort. I grew up in the mountains of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan: snowboarding, hiking, trips with friends.
Later I spent several years in marketing at a game studio, preparing games for launch. Then I went back to the mountains as manager of the Shymbulak Medeu Camp glamping site, which I launched together with the resort team.
Today I live and work in Abu Dhabi. A childhood friend, a professional motocross rider, invited me into Mega Drive Experience: quad and buggy expeditions in the desert at LIWA Oasis. I am Chief Business Officer there and lead Assistance, the support side of an expedition: from rest points along the route to everything guests need between rides. Over two seasons we have hosted several dozen guests.
How we choose partners
We start with the market: who is strongest at what they do and who is well spoken of. Then we meet in person and talk through how they work.
We choose on two grounds: the company has worked steadily for years, or it is new but has already proved itself.
Where we work
We started with two places we know ourselves: Kazakhstan and the UAE. More countries and destinations will follow.
