Karavanta

How to plan a trip that needs several local providers: one point of contact instead of ten messages

Last updated 2 November 2026

A trip to a remote place is rarely run by one company. A buggy tour, a hotel and a transfer usually come from three independent providers, each with its own price, payment terms and cancellation rules. You can arrange them yourself, or use one point of contact. Karavanta is the second option: you describe the trip in words, get a route built from local providers' offers, and a coordinator agrees dates and prices with each provider. You pay each provider directly; Karavanta does not take your money. The service is currently free for travellers.

Why one trip involves several companies

The company that runs a desert expedition does not own the hotel, and the hotel does not run the airport transfer. Each does its own job well. The effort of fitting them together usually falls on the traveller.

What usually goes wrong when you assemble it yourself

  • Dates have to match across three companies: if the hotel is full on one night, the tour date moves, and the transfer with it.
  • Prices come in different currencies, and there is no single total before you commit.
  • Each part has its own prepayment and cancellation terms, so one change can cost money somewhere else.
  • It is not always clear who is responsible for what when something shifts.

How Karavanta works

  • You describe the trip in your own words: place, dates, group and what you want to do.
  • The assistant proposes a draft route from the catalog. It is a draft, not an offer; a coordinator checks it.
  • The coordinator agrees dates and prices with each provider.
  • You get one confirmation page: the programme by day, an amount per provider, prepayment and balance dates, each provider's cancellation terms and the coordinator's contact.
  • You pay each provider directly, on that provider's invoice.

Who is responsible

The provider that delivers a service is responsible for it. Karavanta chooses which providers to add. If a traveller is not satisfied, we look into what the provider did wrong and decide whether to keep working with them.

Example route: a weekend in Liwa

This is an example route for illustration, not a real booking. Three services from three companies come together on one confirmation page, with one coordinator to ask.

  • Activity: a desert buggy tour from the Mega Drive Experience × AMA catalog, for example the one-day buggy expedition (from 5,800 AED per buggy on 2 November 2026).
  • Stay: a hotel in Liwa.
  • Transfer: from Abu Dhabi or Dubai, about 230 and 330 km away.

A note on independence

Our founder also works at Mega Drive Experience, one of the providers on the platform. Providers are chosen by the same rule for everyone, and nobody can pay for a better place on the site.
